A fantastic off-the-beaten-track electric bike tour of the hills above Nice, to discover the rich vineyards perched high above the Var
Valley. The only French AOC wine-growing appellation located inside a city, Nice's terroir is unique when it comes to wine production (red, rosé, white), with a wealth of grape varieties found
nowhere else, recognized and promoted by the label: Vins de Bellet!
Let's start the day with a light pedal along the sea on Nice's best-known and most prestigious boulevard: the Promenade des Anglais. Our expert guide will explain the history behind the splendor
of its most beautiful Art Deco & Belle Époque palaces.
After taking a path along Nice's most important river, the Var, we'll start climbing the few hills where the only vineyards grows in Nice, on these charming hills overlooking the sea, the Var
valley and our highest peaks of the Alps.
When you arrive at the vineyard, you'll be greeted by a passionate winemaker who will show you around the winery and explain the production process
of his high-quality organic AOC wine. Enjoy a tasting of three wines and see if you can taste the difference between the grape varieties used: Braquet and Folle Noire will no longer be a
secret.
Enjoy a delicious picnic in the shade of the olive trees. Before heading off to a second wine estate, a prestigious château that also offers tastings, cellar tours & a visit to the château's
uniquely furnished salons.
Possibility of visiting 2 or 3 vineyards on request (to be savored in moderate quantities, as we'll have to cycle back down to Nice to reach the starting point). Or a longer, sportier 7-8 hour
itinerary with visits to hilltop villages and historic monuments (Nice 7 Hills + vineyards).
